I completed my CMS Marketplace training, Can I get continuing education credits for that?

Illinois insurance producers can receive continuing education credit for completing the online Federal Health Insurance Marketplace courses. There are three courses available: ACA Basics, The Individual Marketplace, and The SHOP Marketplace. Producers will receive four hours of CE credit for the prerequisite ACA Basics and one other course, or five hours of CE credit for having completed all three courses.
To receive CE credit, producers must send their Certificates of Completion (one per course) to the Illinois Department of Insurance by either:

– Email, as a scanned attachment to DOI.Licensing@illinois.gov
– Fax, to (217) 557-8455, attn: CE Unit

In addition, Get Covered Illinois, The Official Health Marketplace in our state, has launched a producer search function so individuals and employers can find certified agents and brokers near them. Producers will not be included without first granting consent, but must include their email address on their CMS Marketplace account in order for Get Covered Illinois to be able to request consent.
